Getting started

Open the sandbox to try PartyVM without setup. The runtime is an early private workspace package, not a published SDK.

Try a complete coordination loop

  1. As Alice, complete the documents and handbook obligations.
  2. Switch to Acme and review the submitted documents. This task is private to Acme and coordinators.
  3. Switch to Screening team and hand off the screening result to Backup provider.
  4. Switch to Backup provider and complete the screening result.
  5. Switch to Acme and confirm the start date. The shared goal becomes ready.
  6. Select Recruiter or Coordination agent to inspect all task history or add another participant.

Each action is a Triplex transaction. Open its details under “How we got here.” Use Reset example to start again. Refresh also clears the in-memory session.

Run locally

Requires Node.js 24.13+, pnpm 10.20.0, and access to the private repository.

sh
git clone https://github.com/bjacobso/partyvm.git
cd partyvm
pnpm install --frozen-lockfile
pnpm playground:dev

Open the printed URL with /playground/ appended. For the documentation website, run pnpm dev in another terminal.

Use the core

Inside this workspace, add @partyvm/core as a workspace:* dependency:

ts
import { ManagedRuntime } from "effect";
import {
  KvTriples, createParty, execute, readParty, onboardingExample,
} from "@partyvm/core";

const runtime = ManagedRuntime.make(KvTriples.layer);
try {
  await runtime.runPromise(createParty("coordinator", "create-1", onboardingExample));
  await runtime.runPromise(execute("alice", {
    type: "complete",
    partyId: "alice-acme",
    obligationId: "documents",
    requestId: "submit-documents-1",
  }));
  const perspective = await runtime.runPromise(readParty("alice-acme", "alice"));
  console.log(perspective.obligations);
} finally {
  await runtime.dispose();
}

In a server host, derive actor IDs from authentication. Do not trust a caller's chosen actor ID. The sandbox chooses identities intentionally for demonstration.

Workspace and checks

text
packages/core/ Coordination schemas, operations, and tests
apps/playground/ Foldworks + Foldkit interface backed by Triplex
apps/website/ VitePress landing page and documentation
vendor/ Pinned Triplex package and provenance
scripts/            Production site assembly
sh
pnpm check # Typechecks, core tests, and full production build
pnpm website:preview # Preview the assembled website and /playground/

Triplex's current package is unpublished. The repository includes a packed build from a pinned source revision; CI does not require a neighboring checkout. See vendor/README.md for provenance.

Deployment

Alchemy v2 publishes the assembled static site to Cloudflare at partyvm.com. Successful CI runs for main trigger deployment of the validated commit. Credentials stay in the GitHub production environment.

pnpm website:build builds the docs and sandbox, then copies the sandbox under apps/website/dist/playground/. pnpm website:deploy uses the existing Alchemy Cloudflare profile or the configured environment credentials.
